Kalena Duru grew up with her grandparents and a huge loving family in a small town called Cove City, North Carolina, where she inherited her old soul and southern charm. After relocating to metro-Atlanta with her mother, Duru earned her cosmetologist license to pursue her passion that she’s had she a teen. She stated her career at Hair Gallery in Marietta in 2006. In 2009, she landed a prestigious career at Premiere Salon in Buckhead GA.  After 7 years of training and work experience, she opened Kalena‘s Beautiful Beginnings Hair Salon, where it was truly her beautiful beginning. Now known as Kbb Salon, is a full-service, professional-based salon in the heart of her neighborhood in Marietta, Georgia.

Kalena says, “I created KBB with the vision that your experience with your hair should always be a positive one. I enjoy collaborating with clients to provide the look they want to achieve. I have a strong understanding of the hair care and service, creating an experience. Personalizing every cut and color I create is my specialty.”

When she’s not busy at the salon, she spends her time caring for her lovely family: husband, IK, handsome, cherub-cheeked son, Levi and newborn beautiful baby girl, Meroë!  You can also catch her singing her heart out at  Eagle’s Nest Church praise team.
